Exar MxL7204 Dual 4A Power Module is a dual 4A or single 8A output consists of a switch mode DC/DC power supply. This power module offers high efficiency and improved thermal performance. The MxL7204 Dual 4A power module integrates switching controller, power FETs, inductors, and all supporting components. This power module supports frequency synchronization, multiphase operation, and output voltage tracking for supply rail sequencing. The current mode architecture and high-switching frequency of MxL7204 power module enable very fast transient responses to the line and load voltages.
The MxL7204 power module operates at 4.5V to 20V supply voltage range and is designed to deliver up to 4A continuous current for each output. This power module includes fault protection features such as overvoltage, overcurrent, and overtemperature protection. The MxL 7204 power module is offered in a space-saving Land-Grid-Array package. This power module provides typical applications in industrial, telecom, and networking equipment.
