Adafruit 7" Touchscreen Display for Raspberry Pi is designed to create integrated projects such as tablets, embedded, and infotainment systems. This 7" touchscreen display features 800 x 480 pixels screen resolution, 10-finger capacitive touch, and the ability to create Internet of Things (IoT) devices. Home automation devices with touchscreen capability can be created by connecting the Raspberry Pi and developing a Python script to interact with the display. The adapter board powers the display and converts the parallel lines to the DSI port on the Raspberry Pi. The onscreen keyboard and touchscreen drivers are integrated into the latest Raspbian OS, thereby eradicating the need for a physical keyboard or mouse. The Raspberry Pi requires only two connections with the power from GPIO port and a ribbon cable connected to the DSI port. The 7" touchscreen display has four stand-offs and screws that help in mounting the Raspberry Pi board and adapter board to the back of the display.
